Chair of the CYBERSEC Programme Committee, co-founder of CYBERSEC Forum

She became Chair of the Kosciuszko Institute in 2010 and has been involved in the public policy discussion and decision-making processes regarding digital transformation and security incl. cybersecurity and energy security. Since 2014, she has been leading the European Cybersecurity Forum - CYBERSEC.

Between 2016 and 2018, she chaired the Council for Digitization in the Ministry of Digital Affairs, an advisory committee with competence to propose and give opinions on EU and governmental documents on digital transformation, information society, data economy, cybersecurity and emerging technologies (AI, 5G, QC). She is now a member of this Council in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and in the Advisory Team for the development of evaluation assumptions for knowledge and technology transfer at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Since July 2020 she is also a member of the NATO Advisory Group for Emerging and Disruptive Technologies.

Izabela has long-standing professional relations within the digital community. In 2019 - 2020 she was a member of Global Future Council on Cybersecurity in the World Economic Forum. She is a co-founder of Women4Cyber in the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO). In 2020 she started a two-year term as a Member of the Executive Board in DIGITAL EUROPE representing Polish National Trade Associations Polska Izba Informatyki i Telekomunikacji - PIIT, Związek Cyfrowa Polska, KIGEiT - Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza Elektroniki i Telekomunikacji. In 2017, she became member of the Supervisory Board of Asseco Poland S.A. and in 2019 of ComCERT S.A.

In 2017 listed among the 100 Eastern Europe’s emerging technology stars announced by Financial Times & New Europe 100. She was ranked as one of “50 leading European Women in Cybersecurity for 2019” on the list developed by SC Media UK.

Co-author of reports, publications and analyses focusing on issues related to EU policies and international relations. Her research interests cover the EU institutional system, energy policy, strategic challenges related to digital transformation and construction of a cybersecurity system, including public-private cooperation, the educational system, and innovation. She is currently also Associate Editor of the European Cybersecurity Journal and was previously Chief Editor of the International Shale Gas & Oil Journal. Izabela Albrycht is a political scientist, graduate of the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has also completed a post-graduate programme in Public Relations at the Tischner European University and a course for Members of Supervisory and Management Boards certified by the Ministry of Treasury as well as professional training programmes “Decision-Making and Legislative Procedures in the EU” and “The Treaty of Lisbon” in the European Parliament. She is an alumna of the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S. Department of State in the scope of NGO Management.
